Café Madrid is the sixth album of my group The New York Second, this time playing in a quartet setting: with Max Sergeant on drums, Lorenzo Buffa on double bass, and Rob Waring on vibraphone.

It was recorded in February 2025 in the Dutch Wedgeview studio when Rob Waring came to the Netherlands for the release concerts of our previous album Room for Other People.

It features 11 original compositions of mine, some composed just before the studio date, some as early as 1995, and that were selected to showcase the unique and complementary sonic texture of the piano and vibraphone.
